Transfer America Reports on Disappeared Remains

The one downfall of traveling by plane is the chance of the airline losing your luggage. Many times valuables such as laptops and jewelry are placed in a person’s carry-on.  Transfer America understands the frustration and anger at airlines for carelessly losing someone’s belongings. An article on MSNBC, describes how a woman, Angeline O’Grady, had recently flown on US Airways to scatter her late-husbands remains over his hometown. However, TSA refused to let her take her husband’s ashes past the security checkpoint so she placed the ashes in her checked luggage. When she arrived at her destination, she checked her luggage and her husband’s ashes had disappeared!

O’Grady stated, “When I opened the baggage and everything the ashes weren't there. We're no further along than the day I discovered they were missing on the second of November. My kids, everybody's upset and yet US Air just blows us off”.

The remains have been missing for nearly 3 months with no response from US Airways. The way US Airways has treated O’Grady is unacceptable and unprofessional.  When asked to comment, US Air proceeded to apologize and stated that they are continuing to investigate the matter.
