To those who love to hike around the world, Yosemite National Park is home to one of the most sought after trials. The Half Done Trail is a 400-foot granite trail that thousands have conquered. This trail maintains its ‘wilderness character’ that many have come to love. However, the Half Dome Trial Stewardship Plan draft was just released on Tuesday which limits the amount of hikers allowed on the trial. The draft was recommended by officials, which states that there will be a three hundred per day limit to preserve the magnificent trial.
Before this draft, more than 1,200 visitors attempted to hike up this amazing trial. This caused the trail to be ‘congested and dangerous’ because of the cables. Last year, there was a lottery that allowed 400 hikers a day to tackle the dome.
In conclusion, Transfer America advises hikers to make plans to visit the Yosemite National Park. Though officials have limited the number of hikers per day, as long as you arrive early you will not have a problem.
