Bondi's Proposal

Due to the amount of timeshare scams, the Attorney Generals have been busy trying to pass a bill to protect timeshare owners. Timeshare scams are the number one consumer complaints and have been steadily increasing year by year. These con artists are calling timeshare owners trying to convince them into purchasing their service. They are usually very convincing and when they finally receive their money, they simply disappear.

A bill from Attorney General Pam Bondi recently passed a key Senate committee last Thursday with a 10-0 vote. This bill seeks to put a stopper in timeshare fraud in order to help timeshare owners. The reason this bill exists is because Bondi was constantly receiving phone calls regarding timeshare scams and companies that were offering to help owners resell their timeshare. The money these fake companies have received adds up to millions.

Though this bill has passed the key Senate it still has to pass the Budget Committee as well as two more committee hearings before it can be seen by the House.

Transfer America encourages timeshare owners to research different companies in order to find the right one. However, Transfer America has already helped thousands of timeshare owners escape their timeshare contract and they are continuing to help hundreds more.
