Disney Vacation Club announced in December that they would be expanding Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Resort & Spa is Disney's flagship hotel and it is located at the Walt Disney World Resort. This expansion is one of their innovative ideas in promoting Disney's vacation-ownership program. This information was discovered in an article on Inside the Gate.
Disney hopes to build at least one hundred and forty seven villas at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. These villas would then be sold as timeshares to families who visit Disney World often or for people who love Florida. This extension is scheduled to open in 2013 and will be the 12th Disney Vacation Club property. Most of their properties are located near a spa or wedding pavilion. In addition to the villa accommodations, there will be a children water-play area as well as other amenities for the enjoyment of both child and adult.
The senior vice president, Claire Bilby stated, "We continually look for ways to expand Disney Vacation Club by creating resort experiences that our members will love. With the continued popularity of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, we are thrilled to offer our members and guests a new resort option along the monorail system with easy access to the Magic Kingdom Park, as well as a variety of shopping, dinning and recreation experiences."
Disney hopes to attract new clients as they expand their vacation properties. If you wish to visit Disney World but are unable to do so because you are stuck with a timeshare elsewhere contact Transfer America today. They can help you get rid of your timeshare once and for all.
